My True BestFriends

I have found my true friends in my University days, they are by far the best I would say. We were classmates since High School but we weren't friends at all...we were enemies! Yes, enemies in academics and I think almost every aspect of High School life. I am not bragging but my group then was the favorite of our teachers-we're actually friends with them, we are on the top fifteen list of the whole level; not only that but we would flashed the latest fashion and everybody was diggin' it. I think the worst part we did was bringing a light beer in school and to my surprised we were able to bring it inside of our class and it was okay! Just imagine the class' reaction on that! Heated reaction! In short my group in High School was one of the popular groups in the campus. I really had fun and did really enjoy my High School life.

After High School graduation, I went to the city for my University studies and some things are meant to be changed. I became friends with my enemies... I never imagined becoming friends with two of them actually. How did it happen? I went to their apartment because for some reason I forgot my keys inside my place I couldn't get in. After that I think we went to a movie and she invites my other enemy to tag along, the next thing I remember, the three of us became inseparable! We go to movies together every week, shopping (my favorite), dine out, sleeping over, going out of town after each major exam! Ahhh...I love that life!

Four years after, we had achieved our Bachelor Degree's. Our parents must have been so proud of us. We went to different paths, I went to Graduate School, one was hired for a job, and the other one manages their family business. With our busy lives we still manage to be connected to each other. I finished my Master's Degree and flew here in Canada to be with my Mom and to start a new life, I haven't seen them since but some things never changed we keep each other in our hearts that no matter how far the distance, our friendship is still strong as it was before. We still have our constant communication and I could tell that even if I have a set of new friends my connection with them never changed.

That's the beauty of true friendship. Even time cannot separate us nor the adversaries that came our way. Our friendship has a really strong bond, it stays and lingers forever.

"The most beautiful discovery true friends make
is that they can grow separately without growing apart."
-Elizabeth Foley

"A faithful friend is a strong defense;
and he that hath such an one had found a treasure."
-Ecclesiasticus 6:14
